CODE, CLOUD AND CREATIVITY 💻🖥
As a Senior, you spend a lot of time thinking about "The Next Step." You hear the words everywhere: AI is taking over, Blockchain is the future, and Computer Science is the backbone of everything. But usually, those are just concepts in a textbook. And so like every 12th grader, I was chewing my mum's head off asking her "Mummy, what certificated do I use for my uni applications", "Mummy what are all my extra-curricular", "Mummy I need my certification for the course because the deadline is right around the corner" and so on. I go to The Intelli School, Visakhapatnam and they recently tied up with IBM, a global tech giant in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain Technology and Cybersecurity and therefore, we took part in their IBM ICE Programme- IBM Innovation Centre for excellence . So now as a result of the strategic collaboration, all students of my school were going to be a part of IBM's course where they introduce the basics of each topic by sending in their best trained personnel and thus imparting that knowledge to us in order to ignite that spark of learning and interest. And the sessions were anything but boring. From learning the defination of AI to checking if my email and my data has been stolen or my data has been breached on a website called "haveibeenpwned.com". This was not your average computer class. We learned about the logic that runs everything, about how these massive chatbots are solving real-world problems and how blockchain tech acts as a "receipt" and it can't be deleted, edited or erased. With every lesson we had with our different mentors, we gained exposure to AI in a different way which we didnt know was possible. We were mentored by IBM Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Hearing from people who actually build these systems for a living was eye-opening. They didn't just talk about code; they talked about Design Thinking and Professional Ethics. The coolest part of this educational programme is that I earned digital badges for completing my course. These badges are overall counted as credit and by the end of the academic year, we get a ceritificate of credabilty that we have took part in this course and this very certificate could a possible ticket to entry to multiple colleges. We were clubbed into different catagories and out names were stored on a database where it could be seen how much of the course mastery was done. And as the academic year came to an end, so did the AI classes :( and inorder to get our certificate we were supposed to login into our IBM ICE accounts and finish multiple quizzes that tested our speed, accuracy, concept clarity and knowledge and I got a credit of 130/150 and 100 percent course mastery :)) This was honestly an amazing experience and a huge thanks to my school for giving me an opportunity to experience this amazing programme.
